Global Energy Trading Business
Charles Levick have partnered with a global Energy Trading business, and we have been commissioned to find a highly motivated Originator as they continue to expand their ever-growing commercial team.
Your role & responsibilities
• Develop, originate and execute structured energy deals across UK and European markets (PPAs, gas supply, flexibility agreements, storage, GoOs, corporate offtake solutions)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key counterparties including producers, large industrials, suppliers, traders and asset owners
• Identify new commercial opportunities and design bespoke solutions to meet client needs
• Work closely with structurers and traders to develop pricing, risk assessments and deal strategies
• Lead negotiations from initial engagement through term sheet, structuring and contract execution
• Maintain a deep understanding of regulatory developments, market fundamentals and cross-commodity dynamics
• Support the expansion of the firm’s origination footprint across existing and new markets
Must Have
• At least 5 years of experience in origination, commercial energy sales, structured products, or portfolio management
• Strong understanding of UK & European energy markets (power, gas, carbon, flexibility, storage)
• Proven track record originating structured or bilateral deals with strong commercial outcomes
• Experience working with industrial clients, producers, utilities or large trading organisations
• Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to translate customer needs into executable structures
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build trust-based long-term relationships
• Confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
